Batomon Showdown Ranked unlocks after you complete a single 10-win Casual run. You start at Bronze 8 with 0 stars and 1000 MMR. Bronze through Diamond each hold 8 divisions, where division 8 is the bottom and division 1 the top, and each division holds 0 to 5 stars. Five stars promote you. Clearing Diamond 1 takes you to Master, where there are no divisions and no stars, only MMR and a leaderboard position.

From 1.0.0, ranked runs in seasons, and a season ends with a hard reset. The developer’s wording is “a season ends with a hard reset to Bronze 8”.

From Bronze 8 to Master

Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond each have 8 divisions: division 8 is the lowest, division 1 the highest. Master has no divisions and no stars, just ranked MMR and a leaderboard place.

A new profile starts at Bronze 8, 0 stars, 1000 ranked MMR. Master does not demote; later ranked runs only move MMR, while star and division progress stays switched off. Your Master place is one plus the number of Master players with a higher ranked MMR than you.

What a run does to your stars

The arithmetic is blunt: stars change by your wins minus 5.

Zero to 4 wins costs you 5 down to 1 star. Five wins changes nothing. Six to 10 wins earns 1 to 5 stars.

Three edge rules sit on top of that. Five stars promote a division, clearing division 1 moves you to division 8 of the next tier, and clearing Diamond 1 moves you to Master. If a star loss crosses zero, you drop a division first and then keep subtracting from the carried stars; crossing below division 8 moves you to division 1 of the tier above. Bronze 8 at 0 stars is the floor, where further losses are simply discarded, so beginners cannot fall out of Bronze.

MMR is a separate number

Stars decide your tier and division. MMR is its own rating: it picks who you are matched against in ranked, and at Master it becomes the only ordering that matters.

MMR change = 20 × (your wins − expected wins), then rounded

Total MMR bottoms out at zero. Expected wins shifts with your tier, and against an equal-MMR slate the targets are roughly Bronze 9, Silver 8.125, Gold 7.25, Platinum 6.375, and 5.5 for Diamond and Master. So the same 8-win run loses you MMR in Bronze and gains you MMR in Platinum.

Day 1 is left out of the MMR sample. Later bots and missing ratings count as 600 MMR, and if there are no samples at all the calculation falls back to your own current MMR.

Season resets and Season 0 rewards

From 1.0.0, ranked runs in seasons, and a season ends with a hard reset to Bronze 8. When a season closes, you climb from the bottom again.

Season 0 ended on 14 September 2026, alongside the demo. It granted 2 badge case skins: one for reaching Gold, one for reaching Master, both handed out at the start of Season 1.

The developer never promised rank or save carry-over. Season 0 paid out by rank, which makes it easy to assume the rank itself carried across. All that can be confirmed is that the reward was a badge case skin, and that the demo and the release are two separate store products. Plenty of players discovered their progress was gone on launch day for exactly this reason.

Season length has not been published, so there is no way to say how long a season runs.

Abandoned ranked saves

Overwriting an unfinished ranked save scores it immediately at its current win total for both stars and MMR. That scoring does not count towards completed games, run wins or trainer completion, and it applies only the rank and MMR result. Unfinished Extended continuations are exempt.
